Entangled with each other until the end.

Today I watched an improvised performance by a trio at OTO and remembered this person named Dominic Lash. An improvisational gambler with a balance of intellect and animality. I wanted to buy two of his CDs, but I only had enough money for one. He said it was okay and gave me two. I told him I would buy him a drink next time we meet.

One of them is called "But everything now left before it arrived," and I really like the saxophone by John Butcher in it.

In the afternoon, I met an engineer at OpenAI who was like a very agile squirrel. It was raining outside, and there were soccer matches these days, so the bars were noisy. It was only around 5 o'clock when I arrived at OTO, still three hours before the performance started, so there shouldn't be many people at this time. I brought a book with me but couldn't find a quiet place to take shelter from the rain. So I pushed open the light blue door of OTO and asked if I could volunteer today. Although the staff kindly said that if I needed a shelter, I could stay without volunteering, I still decided to volunteer. I found a place to sit down and started reading.

During the sound check, I was attracted for a few seconds. At half past seven, they started lighting candles, and people gradually arrived.

Dominic Lash replaced John Edwards, and it was Mabu, my friend, who recommended John Edwards to me. Since I was nearby in the afternoon, I impulsively bought a ticket to see the performance. I'm so lazy that I even get confused about things I'm interested in.

I remembered watching an animation called "Kakegurui." Although gambling is an act that requires skill and experience, the impression I got from that animation was that the more someone lives in the past, the more they lose, and the more burdened they are with heavy expectations, the more they lose. A good gambling game is not about competition, but about a thrilling and lively conversation in a hidden rhythm.

Improvisation is the same. Thinking and not thinking, intuition and subconscious, memory and the present, anticipation and deviation, rationality and madness, knowledge and animality, all intertwined until the end.

It's been a long time since I pretended to be clever and drew pictures.
